It all depends on the kind of vitamin. Vitamins in which you take more that once a day have what is called a half life in which they may clear the system in hours. Others in which are recommended to be taken once a day stay in the system longer. If you have been off vitamins for four months those supplements you were taking back then have cleared your system and the nutritional benefits from them have stopped months ago. The only nutritional source you have had during this period is from what you have been eating.

Well exist two kinds of vitamins, the hidro soluble and the lipo soluble. The most of the letters are hidrosolubles, exept the B complex, that is liposoluble.

?What is the relationship between your question and this¿. Well the hidrosoluble vitamins went out of the body with the urine, and the liposolubles remain in the fat of the body for a little longer time. I don´t know the exact time, but maybe other person can answer this last.
