Bruno asked:
I want to make sure I get all my vitamins from the veggies I eat. Will freezing, steaming, boiling, frying, etc., remove the vitamins and minerals from my vegtables? Which method (other than raw) is the best method? If you could quote a source, that’d be great. Thanks in advance. Abstract Reviews |

Steaming is the best way. The harder the vegetable, the more nutrients are in it. That’s the best way to think about it. So if you steam broccoli until it is really soft, you have lost most of the nutrients.

steaming is the best way, it keeps all the nutrience and keeps them from getting all mushy.

cook under 325 degrees, and the vitamins and minerals will stay in there.

steaming them, but it is better just to eat them fresh!

steaming is correct!

Fresh and raw is usually best, but steaming is pretty good too. freezing removes many vitamines, not a good first choice.
Smoothys are a good way to eat veggies. Bannanas and fruit juices in a smoothy eliminate a lot of the objectionable taste in great veggies like kayle which is super, and others like turnip greens, escarole, spinich, and other great greens. you can look up their vitamine and mineral content here, this is for kayle but you can look up about anything
good luck
